Every puppy is examined by our veterinarian at about 6 weeks and goes home with its records and our written health guarantee.
Our puppy health care
The health and well-being of every puppy is a top priority at C&K’s Schnauzer House. Each puppy is examined by our veterinarian at approximately 6 weeks of age. During this visit, the puppy receives a health clearance, their first set of vaccinations, and screening for common internal parasites.
We follow a routine deworming schedule at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age. Every puppy goes home with veterinary records showing the care received while in our program.
Our health guarantee
Every puppy appears healthy at the time of sale and has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming while in our care. Our written health guarantee includes the following terms:
Vet exam within 72 hours
The buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. Failure to complete this examination voids the health guarantee.
Illness found at that exam
If a licensed veterinarian determines within that 72-hour period that the puppy has a life-threatening illness that existed before purchase, the buyer must notify C&K’s Schnauzer House immediately and provide veterinary documentation. A replacement puppy of equal value may be offered when available.
One year, hereditary and congenital
The puppy is guaranteed for one year from the date of birth against hereditary or congenital defects that are life-threatening. Written documentation from a licensed veterinarian may be required. If the condition is confirmed, a replacement puppy of equal value will be provided when available.
What is not covered
The guarantee does not cover injuries, accidents, parasites, hypoglycemia, allergies, reactions to vaccines, stress-related illnesses, neglect, improper care, or exposure to contagious diseases after the puppy leaves our care.
No cash refunds
The guarantee does not provide or imply a cash refund. Veterinary expenses incurred by the buyer are the buyer’s sole responsibility.
